The Electric Lighting Act

Preamble: An act to amend the electric lighting law so as to vest in the electric authority, the power previously given to the local authority to purchase undertakings and works after certain periods; to enlarge the rights of the undertakers in relation to wayleaves and rights of entry on land; to extend the power of the Governor in council to make regulations in order to provide for the registration, inspection, and supervision of electric plant, installations and apparatus, and for the joint use of poles by undertakers and other persons; and to provide for other matters connected with or incidental to the purpose aforesaid
